Look closer at the line.

A quiet line of light contains a series of careful decisions. Look beneath the surface to understand what makes an architectural detail feel resolved.

Conceptual optical section. Not to scale; not an installation drawing.

From points to a continuous surface

Continuity begins with the relationship between LED spacing, optical distance and diffusion. The visible surface is the result of those parts working together; the light source alone does not describe the finished effect.

Review the line from the positions where it will actually be seen. A concealed cove and a directly visible contour ask different things of a detail. Include the surrounding material, viewing angle and junctions in a representative mock-up.

Color deserves the same attention as continuity. The appearance of white light and the way it reveals materials are different qualities. Compare the selected light on the actual finishes, rather than choosing by a color-temperature label alone.

Conceptual curved path. Not to scale; not an installation drawing.

Flexibility has a direction

A curve is a relationship between a path and a surface. A line that bends around a wall in plan may need a different bending direction from one that follows an arch in elevation.

Mark the emitting face on the drawing and show where the path changes direction. Include a section at the transition. This makes the intended geometry clearer than a single centerline and exposes places where a twist might otherwise be assumed.

Select the bending configuration before refining the detail. Permitted direction and minimum radius belong to the exact product; a graceful concept should never depend on forcing a light line beyond its documented limits.

Conceptual termination detail. Not to scale; not an installation drawing.

Protection is an interface question

Outdoor lighting brings the connection into the design. The body, end termination, cable exit and strain relief form a finished assembly. Review the visible length together with its interfaces.

Describe the exposure before selecting the product: the location, contact with water, surrounding conditions and access for inspection. An ingress classification addresses defined protection tests; suitability still needs confirmation for the actual model, termination and setting.

Conceptual system relationship. Not to scale; not an installation drawing.

Specify the relationships

A successful system connects the light line, mounting, optics, power and control. Resolve these relationships while the architectural detail is still open, when access and component locations can be coordinated.

Dimming is a system question. The driver and control arrangement can affect changes in light output over time. Ask for compatibility information and assess the intended operating range with the selected combination, including low-level scenes.
