PACKAGING & OEM
Your product. A clearer brief.
Bring the essentials together for a packaging or OEM discussion. Start by confirming whether the proposed scope can be supported.
Build your project brief
Define the product
Describe what the packaging will contain or what the proposed OEM product must do. Include dimensions, weight, intended use and any existing drawings or specifications. Separate essential requirements from preferences.
Set out the packaging requirements
Identify the required pack format, material preferences, protection needs and presentation goals. Note any artwork, labelling, barcode or instruction requirements, including the intended languages and destination market.
If there are handling, storage or transport constraints, include them in the brief. Identify any required testing or documentation without assuming a particular certification is available.
Establish quantity and timing
Provide an initial quantity, an estimated repeat-order requirement if known, and your target delivery date. State whether you need a sample or prototype before committing to production and what it must demonstrate.
Clarify the OEM scope
Explain whether your enquiry concerns an existing product specification, a proposed modification or a new concept. Identify the drawings, artwork or reference materials you can provide and any development work you expect to need.
Questions to resolve before an order
- Can the proposed product, materials and packaging be supported?
- What minimum quantity, sample arrangements and lead time would apply?
- Which specifications and acceptance criteria need written agreement?
- What tooling, artwork or other project costs would apply?
- What documentation and delivery terms are required for the destination?
