Racial Equity and Justice
Fair treatment. Every person.
A person’s race or ethnic origin should never be a reason to diminish their dignity, overlook their contribution or treat them unfairly.
A clear foundation for respect.
Midooc rejects discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, alongside other forms of discriminatory treatment. Our ethical principles also reject bullying, sexual harassment, xenophobia and extremism.
Respect is relevant to everyday conduct: the words people use, the assumptions they make and the way they respond to one another.
Look at the work. Listen to the person.
Fair treatment calls for attention to each person’s contribution and circumstances. Names, accents and cultural differences should not become shortcuts for judging someone’s ability or ideas.
A considered conversation leaves room to ask, clarify and understand. It should make disagreement possible without personal hostility or prejudice.
Keep the principles within reach.
Our Ethics and Compliance page sets out our approach to respectful conduct. Employees with questions about those principles can speak with their supervisor or the colleagues responsible for these matters.
